The Tone Tubby Chicago Blue is the 30-watt version of the Tone Tubby Red Alnico, with a smaller 17 oz. alnico magnet and a brighter-sounding voice coil. The result is a livelier response at lower wattages, a throaty, growling low end and sweet, defined highs wrapped in the signature hemp cone texture.

It's smooth but detailed, with a throaty midrange and a bit of a presence peak for clarity — a little forgiving, and alnico character at a friendly price.
