Who Is Furthest Waves?
Furthest Waves is a California builder of vintage-inspired electric guitars made for surf, spaghetti-western, and clean tremolo-and-reverb tones. Every guitar is hand-built in California and finished with details you don't see on a factory instrument: a custom acrylic wave inlay, the builder's signature Rabbit motif on the pickups, neck plate, and headstock, and custom California-made humbucker pickups wired for coil-splitting so one guitar covers both single-coil sparkle and humbucker punch. The look is minimalist and the build is deliberate — sleek, compact, lightweight, and made to play.

What Makes a Furthest Waves Guitar
All three guitars share the same core build, and it's a well-thought-out one for the style:
Handmade in California. Each guitar is built and finished in California, not assembled overseas. Wood color and grain vary from one to the next, so every instrument is genuinely one of a kind.
24" short scale. The shorter scale length (versus a standard 25.5") means lower string tension and a slinky, easy feel — the same shorter-scale territory as classic offset and student-era surf guitars. It's a big part of why these play so effortlessly for bends, chords, and fast surf lines.
Custom humbuckers with coil-splitting. The California-made dual-coil pickups run through push/pull pots, so you can split or tap the coils to get single-coil chime, full humbucker output, or a hybrid — one guitar, a wide tonal range. That versatility is ideal for switching between glassy clean surf and thicker overdriven tones.
Quality hardware, ready to play. String-through Gotoh bridge, Gotoh Schaller-style tuners, brass or Micarta nut, a comfortable 12"-radius "C"-carve neck with 22 frets, and D'Addario strings. Solid, reliable appointments throughout.

The warmest-sounding of the three. A solid mahogany body gives it a thicker, rounder voice, with a rosewood/mahogany neck and your choice of a Micarta or brass nut. The Astoria uses a symmetrical body shape rather than the offset, in a warm Seaside Butterscotch finish over a lightweight alder body (6.5 lbs) with a brass nut and a rosewood or maple neck option.
